Ed’s verdict
This is my unboxing and first impressions of the VFC PP19-01 Vityaz, and so far it is living up to my expectations 100%. It's built entirely in steel, the recoil is mental, and it's super snappy — it fed every single BB and stopped on empty. It's not cheap at $539 from RedWolf plus $47 per mag, but I love the VFC AK line and I think these are worth it. If it performs like my other VFC AKs, this could be my new favourite little CQB weapon. The proper review with chrono readings will come in a future video.

Problems he hit

No chrono or accuracy testing in this video; Ed promises both for a future review. Ed removed the factory buffer before firing, so recoil/cycling impressions are not fully stock. Ran on Swiss Arms 150 psi gas; one fill cycled well past 35 dry-fire shots; with BBs it fed every round and stopped on empty.
Caveats
- Unboxing/first impressions only — no chrono, accuracy, or long-term reliability testing in this video
- Ed removed the factory buffer before firing, so shooting impressions are not fully out-of-the-box
