Ed’s verdict

This is only an unboxing and first thoughts - I haven't chronoed or range-tested it yet. For less than $600 I'm very, very impressed: it's super solid with no play between upper and lower, the finish and Octagon trades look amazing, and the trigger and bolt feel really nice. On my usual Swiss Arms gas it was punchy, fast-cycling and chugged through full auto, though the Lancer can wouldn't fill the mag properly. I wish it had a folding stock and a grub screw for QD suppressors, and the charging handle is oddly plastic. If it performs like my other APFGs, this could be my new go-to XM7 and a real Toxicant killer at a third of the price - so far it's a thumbs up.
