I don't think I've ever had a VFC with bad externals; for realism they're the top of the range, and I love that they take nearly all real steel parts. In general the build quality is amazing, though there are pot metal parts that can crack and newer models like the XM7 have teething issues. I've generally found performance very, very good, and I think VFC's consistency and gas efficiency have got a lot better in the last few years. If you're buying right now, my advice is the AKs, the AK-74M and AKS-74U, or the new Evo KS-1; I'd definitely recommend both.

Caveats
- Video is a brand-level VFC discussion/showcase of four owned replicas, not a single-product review; primary_product points to the first replica discussed (MPX-K).
- No chrono test or accuracy measurements were performed; the only energy figure is the G36C's shipping limiter (~0.5J).
- Most replicas shown are upgraded (real steel externals, 4UAD buckings/hop units, shaved hop arm), so performance praise reflects modified guns, not stock.
