I've always liked the look of the Canik SFX Rival, so I picked up the gray and gold EMG Cybergun one on Evike's deal at $159, though for a gas blowback pistol it's expensive. Out of the box on .25g tracers it opened at 316 and settled around 300 fps, about 1.05 joules, and the consistency wasn't as bad as I thought it could have been, aside from one shot that dropped to 275. The trigger is really strange, with no wall when you pull it without gas and a long pull, and I'm annoyed the optic cut needs a separate $23 plate that isn't in the box. Ergonomics-wise it feels great, the action is smooth with a really nice kick, and generally I'm pretty happy with it, even if the gold and gray looks a little bit cheap to me.

Chrono on .25g tracers, hop untouched: opened 316/316, settled ~290-308, one 275 outlier Ed flagged; he used 300 fps = 1.05 J and quoted 335 fps on a '.22 g' BB (likely .20 g) via Badger app. $159 Evike deal, normally $190; spare mags $45 each; optic plate $23 extra. 22+1 capacity and 6.01mm barrel are from the Evike listing, not Ed's testing.
Caveats
- Unboxing with a single short chrono string; no accuracy, range, or skirmish testing
- Several specs (6.01mm barrel, 300-330 fps claim, 22+1 capacity) were read from the Evike listing, not measured by Ed
- fps_spread uses Ed's stated 316 high and ~290 low; the 275 shot he flagged as a drop-off is excluded
- Transcript has garbled lines (e.g. 'for the price it isn't expensive pistol') and a likely mis-transcribed '.22 g BB'
- Optic, optic plate, and spare magazines were discussed but not used in any testing
