Ed’s verdict

Double Eagle sent me this DWS Lupus for free, and out of the box I'm really, really impressed. The full-metal body and finish feel very well built, the grip feels so good in the hand, and that HK-style charging handle is the big one for me. The bolt lock works, the kick is really good for a short bolt, and full auto feels like a solid MWS-style gun, though you can feel the mag cooling and the rate of fire isn't super fast. Mine didn't have a flash hider in the box, and at around $492 for the 8.5-inch it's an expensive piece of kit, so bear in mind it was sent to me for free. I'll be doing a full review with chrono, accuracy testing and a buildout in the next video.
