Ed’s verdict
What he said, by aspect (from The Arcturus Osprey Hi Capa — My New Favorite GBB Airsoft pi…)
| build | “Build quality of it feels really really nice... very solid feel. There's very little movement in the actual slide.” at 05:02 | 9 |
| gas power consistency | “Okay it's super snappy... it's cooling down at the end there but that went through 30 rounds.” at 21:39 | 8 |
| chrono consistency | “4 FPS within like 10 shots consistency wise. That is mental. I don't think we've ever had a pistol that's performed like that.” at 30:28 | 10 |
| accuracy range | “Yeah it's accurate for sure... they're all on top of each other. There is a spread there of like half an inch if that.” at 26:15 | 9 |
| reliability failures | “It doesn't like plastic nozzle mags... it's spitting a lot.” at 21:09 | 8 |
| ergonomics | “I don't necessarily love heavy pistols but it's like a solid heavy. It's like a nice heavy.” at 32:16 | 8 |
| value | “I'm very happy I bought this. This is not going to be one of those ones where I'm like okay this is not worthwhile.” at 32:32 | 9 |
| parts support | “It runs on regular high cap of mags... the TM ones are the best.” at 20:53 | — |
| externals fidelity | “The quality of the finish on it, it feels really nice.” at 19:31 | — |

Problems he hit
Out of the box
Chrono on 0.25g BBs with Tokyo Marui mag: ~30 rounds, Ed says between 270 and 285, most 275-285, lowest reading 267; 0.91J at 280 FPS. $295 package includes red dot and adjustable blowback housing; base pistol $200, ABH version $235. Included Arcturus mag loaded with 28 BBs; TM 31-round mags ~$35 vs Arcturus $28-30.
Caveats
- Unboxing plus bench test only; no gameplay performed.
- Gas type for the chrono not restated; 110 PSI was last used, 150 PSI tested earlier.
- Prices quoted in dollars with currency unspecified; $295 is the red dot combo package.
- Specs like 40% gas efficiency, 85% accuracy at 30m, and TM parts compatibility are box claims Ed read aloud, not his test results.
- Weight described only relatively, roughly twice a TM 5.1 Hi-Capa; no numeric weight given.
- Some performance praise echoes Jaeger Precision's video rather than Ed's own testing.
